Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Design Engineer in the Southfield, MI area to join a leading Automotive Supplier's Body Electronics, Systems Engineering team. You will analyze customer (OEM) system requirements and develop the system specifications for the product.

The role focuses on Functional Safety requirements and implementing the ASPICE process through design, with lifecycle tracking from concept to prototype release, and creating system test specifications using Vector/Interpid tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automotive electronics or ECU/system design.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years analyzing or writing system design requirements (PTC Integrity, DOORS, Word).
• Experience with ASPICE and/or Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
• Automotive body electronics knowledge (PaaK, PEPS, BCM).

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer (OEM) system requirements and refine them with the customer.
• Create system specifications for the product and track design, testing/validation through the lifecycle.
• Implement ASPICE and Functional Safety requirements throughout product development.
• Create system test specifications to validate requirements using tools like CANoe, NeoVI, Vehicle Spy.

A leading Automotive Supplier client is looking for a Systems Design Engineer in the Southfield, MI area to join their Body Electronics, Systems Engineering team. This Engineer will be responsible for analyzing system requirements which come from customer (OEM), attending meetings with the customer to refine and define system requirements, and create the system specifications for the product. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for Functional Safety requirements as well as implementing ASPICE process through the design for these body electronics products previous experience with ASPICE and FuSa (ISO 26262) is highly desired. The Systems Engineer will also track design, testing/validation, and process activities to make sure things are completed through the development lifecycle (concept design validation prototype release). Additionally, the Systems Engineer will create system test specifications to validate system requirements using Vector/Interpid communication/diagnostics tools (CANoe, NeoVI, Vehicle Spy, etc.).

• -5+ yrs Automotive Electronics experience (ECU HW or Systems design)
• -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
• -3+ years of analyzing or writing system design requirements (PTC Integrity, DOORS, Word)
• -ASPICE and/or Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
• o1-2 projects during their experience w/ ASPICE and/or FuSa requirements/process being implemented through product development lifecycle -Automotive test tool knowledge and experience
• -Experience w/ body electronics product (PaaK, PEPS, BCM)
• -Cyber security knowledge and experience
• -BLE (Bluetooth low-energy), UWB (ultrawide bandwidth) knowledge
