Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio is seeking a Product Engineer to lead the initial technical design of shock absorbers and struts, providing ongoing technical support to customers and internal teams throughout the design process.

You will collaborate with customers, process engineering and production to meet specifications, analyze data, coordinate fabrication and installation, lead cross-functional reviews, and ensure designs comply with safety, quality, GD&T and export

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• Strong understanding of automotive suspension concepts and materials.
• Ability to read drawings and apply GD&T principles.
• Experience with FEA/CFD analysis and interpretation.
• Good communication and coordination with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with safety and environmental policies.
• Designs shock absorber and strut applications with customers, process engineering, and production teams.
• Researches and analyzes data to determine design feasibility and scope.
• Coordinates fabrication and installation activities to meet specifications.
• Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications.
• Leads design reviews and coordinates testing according to specs.
• Complies with export controls/ITAR regulations.
