Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the NAPA store in Phoenix. The role combines automotive expertise, customer service, and operational leadership to run daily store functions and support the Store Manager.

You will lead counter sales, inventory, deliveries, and staffing while maintaining high customer satisfaction and sales performance. This position offers growth toward Store Manager with overtime and keyholder responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Proven leadership experience in fast-paced settings.
• Customer care focus with long-term relationship building.
• Comfort with cataloging/inventory systems.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs as needed.
• Background in automotive, heavy equipment, or dealership environments.
• Experience in parts/retail management is preferred.
• Customer-centric approach with a pro-active mindset.
• ASE certifications are a plus; Napa Know How valued.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute opening/closing routines and ensure facility readiness.
• Handle administrative tasks and basic P&L awareness items.
• Monitor store metrics and drive improvements in sales and operations.
• Provide leadership and performance management for store functions.
• Support talent development and coaching for successors.
• Drive adherence to safety and asset protection initiatives.
