At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

The Midas Store Manager is responsible for business operations and store performance, including safety, efficiencies, and profit/loss accountability. They promote customer satisfaction and retention, as well as growth of existing and new business. The Store Manager oversees overall operations concerning cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and safety. They provide strong leadership to cultivate a harmonious, collaborative, and productive work culture.

We are seeking a seasoned manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who will take responsibility for operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has a college degree or coursework (preferred), three years of automotive repair business experience, supervisory/management/mentoring experience, a background in continuous improvement, P&L experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in shop operations
  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule, and coach employees
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, including listening and consulting with customers
  • Follow up with customers regarding services requested and estimated completion times
  • Oversee vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations, build repair orders, source parts
  • Discuss pricing estimates with customers and promote shop service specials
  • Lead, manage, and train the team, aligning with company vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed
  • Oversee sales, accounting, and clerical functions from Service Advisors
  • Supervise technicians’ inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on domestic, European, and Asian cars and trucks
  • Maintain inventory counts and handle inventory losses
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental compliance
  • Manage employee payroll, record keeping, and scheduling
  • Update and submit daily sales reports to corporate
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of store or service management experience
  • General automotive knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong POS and internet skills
  • Leadership and team-building abilities
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license
