Job Description

The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all positions within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, including selecting, coaching, and developing store teammates. This role supports Monro’s vision to be America’s leading auto and tire service center, trusted by guests for quality automotive service and tires by promoting products and services.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a consistent 5-star Guest experience.
  2. Achieve sales goals by developing and implementing sales plans, and maintaining thorough knowledge of services, products, and the automotive industry.
  3. Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  4. Support teammates in establishing a productive sales environment through training and development.
  5. Provide direction and oversight to technicians, assisting with services and repairs as needed.
  6. Manage staffing, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and performance management.
  7. Control expenses by managing payroll, utilities, supplies, and store maintenance.
  8. Manage inventory, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
  9. Audit courtesy inspections performed by teammates.
  10. Maintain the store in excellent condition, clean, and guest-ready.
  11. Schedule guest appointments and assign tasks based on skill levels for timely completion of services.
  12. Meet sales goals by informing and recommending products and promotions.
  13. Address guest needs related to sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
  14. Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  15. Convey repair and service needs clearly to guests.
  16. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
  17. Maintain technical knowledge through training and certifications.
  18. Operate and maintain equipment safely according to guidelines.
