Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. seeks a General Manager to lead daily operations, drive store sales, and build Professional Customer relationships in a high-volume environment. You will supervise hiring, coaching, scheduling, and performance management while ensuring inventory standards and safety protocols are met.

The role requires 50-55 hours per week, with 11-hour shifts, rotating nights and weekends. Strong automotive parts knowledge and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in business or related area preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships/sales; hold team accountable to Customer action plans.
• Selection, hiring, development, performance mgmt., coaching, scheduling and engagement of store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of all inventory and operational standards.
• Coach Team Members to deliver on Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Manager on duty responsibilities (coaching, floor/phone mgmt., task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties).
• Ability to lead change management and embrace diversity.
• Provide DIY service including battery installation, testing, wiper install, etc.
• Assist District/Region in other functions upon request.
• Ability to recruit, select, hire and develop quality Team Members.
