LOCATION: Maryland State Police, Motor Vehicle Division, 10100 Rhode Island Avenue, College Park, MD 20740
The position functions as a Police Pursuit Vehicle Specialist responsible for repair and maintenance of all Police Pursuit vehicles owned by the Maryland State Police, State Fire Marshal's Office, and Vehicle Theft Prevention Council. Ensures vehicles are safe and reliable, capable of exceeding twice the posted speed limit in all weather and road conditions, prioritizing safety of Troopers and the public.
Education: Completion of the eighth grade.
Experience: Three years servicing, maintaining, and repairing motor vehicles or equipment, including one year of major automotive repair work.
Must possess a valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license.
Subject to drug testing, criminal background checks, and polygraph examination. Rejections possible based on criminal history.
Candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be considered and placed on an eligible list. The list remains valid for at least one year and is used for hiring decisions.
