Jiffy Lube International is hiring a General Service Technician in Monroe, LA to start in an entry-level role. You will learn through our training program and certify in services offered, delivering top-quality work and an excellent guest experience.

You will work with a team to service guest vehicles, maintain a clean shop, and follow safety policies while developing practical automotive skills for career growth with Team Car Care.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, including clear communication about guest vehicles
• Ensure the service center is clean and presentable
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspections
• Install a new oil drain plug and oil filter
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Report safety issues immediately to management
• Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting and bending
