Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is hiring a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services, tire maintenance, and inspections while delivering excellent customer service. The role includes keeping the shop clean, adhering to safety standards, and assisting other technicians as needed.

Candidates should have a valid driver's license, be 18 or older, and possess a High School Diploma or GED. Availability for varied shifts and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems ( brakes, suspensions, cooling, electrical ).
• Keep work areas clean and safe in the tire and service department.
• Provide advice to customers on automotive services and repairs when appropriate.
• Install and balance tires and perform tire maintenance.
• Assist technicians in performing technical activities and report issues promptly.
