Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking a General Service Technician in Florida. You will perform basic automotive services such as tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, tire repairs, and vehicle inspections while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Role requires a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or GED. The position may require days, nights, holidays, and weekends, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and competitive to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Attend formal training to stay current with automotive technology.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other small bulbs.
• Repair flat tires and stock/unload tires.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management informed of mechanical repair problems and safety issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and follow all safety rules.
