Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a General Service Technician in San Jose, CA. You will perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire maintenance, and inspections, while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

You will also assist with recommendations to customers on services required for their vehicles. Candidates should have a valid driver's license, a passion for automotive tech, and be 18+ with a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to learn automotive service tasks.
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Pre-employment background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Perform oil changes, tire installation, maintenance, and repairs as directed by senior technicians.
• Assist with stocking tires and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
• Provide customer service and communicate service recommendations when appropriate.
