Job summary

Bill Talley Ford, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an automotive service technician to perform repairs and diagnostics. You will work closely with the Service Advisor, test drive vehicles, and communicate needs for additional work.

The role requires at least 2 years of auto technician experience, strong customer service, and the ability to operate diagnostic equipment. A clean driving record and a high school diploma are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work per repair order efficiently and accurately.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose components using tools.
• Diagnose and repair automotive systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needs.
• Provide time estimates for repairs.
• Execute warranty repairs per manufacturer specs.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Signing Bonus of $4,500.00.
• You will receive $1,500.00 on your first paycheck, another $1,500.00 at your 6 month anniversary and the final $1,500.00 at one year of employment.

Estimated pay for this position is $25-$50/hr based on level of experience

Reduced hours on Saturdays. Saturday rotation once a month

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
