Job summary

Johnson Lexus of Durham, located in the Southpoint area, is looking for a Full-Time Automotive Service Technician to join our Service team. We're looking for a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to continue developing professionally.

Lexus or Toyota experience is a plus, but we're also interested in experienced automotive technicians from other manufacturers who have the technical ability, work ethic, and commitment to quality we're looking for.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills for experience level.
• Ability to perform repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to document work and communicate findings.
• Basic computer and electronic diagnostic proficiency.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles.
• Perform maintenance, diagnostic and repair work accurately per orders.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Communicate diagnostic findings and parts requirements with Service Advisors.
• Collaborate with Parts Department to obtain parts.
• Document inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations.
• Follow warranty procedures and road-test vehicles as needed.
• Use manufacturer technical information and training resources.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
