Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group in Fort Worth is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician (B level) to perform routine repairs, diagnose issues and support exceptional guest experiences. You will work on engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, steering and suspension with manufacturer-provided training and ongoing development.

You will use multi-point inspections, document on repair orders, and communicate with service advisers when extra work is required or delays occur.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred.
• Previous automotive technician experience required.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must have great technical and mechanical skills.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Use multi-point inspection form for each vehicle.
• Document all work and recommendations on repair orders.
• Communicate with service advisor when extra work is needed or delays occur.
• Maintain technician proficiency per Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles at all levels.
• Perform preventive maintenance services.
• Utilize manufacturer training as assigned.
• Participate in manufacturer training programs.
• Maintain CSI scores above goal.
• Complete work, notes and time-keeping for warranty repairs.
• Report safety concerns to management.
• Return vehicles in clean condition.
• Complete required training for regulatory compliance.
• Comply with laws and company policies.
