Job summary

Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington in Boston, MA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles, using solid mechanical skills and your own tools to deliver quality service.

You will follow manufacturer guidelines, participate in ongoing training, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment. We offer weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, and opportunities for certification.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must have great technical and mechanical skills.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and diagnosis on customer vehicles.
• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and time-keeping on the assigned repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and test drive when necessary.
