Job summary

Lithia Volkswagen of Des Moines is seeking Automotive Service Technicians of all levels to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards. You’ll document services, testing, and repair results, and perform road tests to verify quality while supporting a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC, and drivetrain repair.
• 1+ years of experience using automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Manufacturer or ASE certifications relevant to the position.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and ongoing technical development.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Complete repair orders accurately and document services, testing, and repair results.
• Perform road tests and quality checks to confirm repairs are completed correctly.
• Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Use tools, equipment, and shop materials safely and responsibly.
• Complete required technical training and maintain applicable certifications.
• Communicate with service team members to support efficient repairs and a positive customer experience.
