Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC in Pensacola seeks an automotive technician to diagnose and repair basic systems, perform tire and battery work, and support the store team in a fast-paced environment.

You'll undergo formal training, work across days, nights, and weekends, and contribute to a clean, safe shop while following policy and safety guidelines. Competitive pay and benefits accompany career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Pre-employment background check completed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Learn new technical information in formal training sessions to stay current with automotive technology.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other bulbs.
• Repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires.
• Assist technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep store management aware of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules.

Skills
