Summary of the Automotive Service Technician Role:

Prepare, record, and submit warranty claims to the factory/distributor, and reconcile them accordingly.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Perform repairs efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
2. Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
3. Coordinate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
4. Handle warranty parts appropriately.
5. Assess vehicles for safety or additional service needs.
6. Communicate with service advisors regarding work scope and timing.
7. Document all work performed and recommended.
8. Road test vehicles as needed.
9. Participate in manufacturer training and stay updated on technical bulletins.
10. Supervise apprentice technicians when applicable.
11. Report machinery issues and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
12. Ensure proper maintenance of tools and adherence to safety regulations.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience with general office equipment.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and multitask.

• Associate's degree or equivalent, or relevant experience.
