Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and according to dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding additional services needed and provide time estimates for repairs
• Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required or willingness to achieve
• Level A/B/C qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
• Dexterity with steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in a dynamic environment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
