Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group in Sanford, FL is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards. You will communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication while building trust with customers.

Qualifications

• Automotive service experience required.
• ASE certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work per repair order to factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Keep up with factory bulletins and training classes.
• Notify management of mechanical repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
