Job summary

Napleton Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician for its Sanford, FL location. You will perform repairs and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, and diagnose issues while keeping customers informed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required or desired.
• Strong communication skills for interactions with customers and team.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as per local law.
• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
• ASE certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on repair orders, to dealership and factory standards.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnosing causes of malfunctions and performing repairs.
• Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including customers.
• Staying current with factory bulletins and participating in training classes as appropriate.
• Maintaining an organized and safe work area and keeping management informed of issues as they arise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
