Job summary

Rochester Ford in Rochester, MN is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair and service customer vehicles. You will perform repairs per dealership standards, test-drive cars, and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure quality workmanship.

Work with the service team to keep customers informed on repairs, provide accurate time estimates, and complete warranty-related tasks. ASE certification is a plus, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive background required.
• Teamwork skills are essential.
• Willing to submit to a background check.
• Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and work listed on repair orders efficiently and per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty per manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
