You will diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles following manufacturer and dealership standards, working from repair orders and coordinating with advisors and parts staff.

The ideal candidate has professional repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safe, quality work.

Qualifications

• Previous professional automotive repair experience required.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets dealership requirements.
• Own or have access to professional automotive tools.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug screening.
• Ability to work safely in a service shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and complete assigned work efficiently and accurately.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and other vehicle concerns using diagnostic tools and information.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicle systems per manufacturer standards.
• Communicate with Service Advisors when additional work is identified or timelines change.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain parts and follow warranty procedures.
• Document diagnostic steps, repairs, and parts used on each repair order.
• Road-test vehicles to verify that repairs address customer concerns.
• Keep vehicles, tools, and work areas organized and clean.

Mike Willis Ford Orange is looking for a dependable Automotive Service Technician to join its service team in Orange, Texas. The service department supports customers by maintaining and repairing vehicles with attention to safety, quality, and clear communication.

About the role

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards. You will work from repair orders, communicate with Service Advisors and the Parts Department, document completed work, and help ensure each vehicle is returned safely and properly repaired.

$25.00-50.00 per flat rate hour plus production bonuses

What you’ll do

• Review repair orders and complete assigned work efficiently and accurately.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and other vehicle concerns using appropriate diagnostic tools and repair information.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicle systems in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Communicate with Service Advisors when additional work is identified, a repair cannot be completed as promised, or clarification is needed.
• Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain required parts and follow dealership procedures for warranty or replaced components.
• Document diagnostic steps, repairs, parts, and work performed on each repair order.
• Road-test vehicles as needed to verify that repairs address the customer concern.
• Complete quality checks and help prevent repeat repairs and comebacks.
• Keep customer vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and protected.
• Follow dealership safety procedures and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Participate in training and stay current on Ford products, technical information, and repair procedures.
