Job summary

VIP, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Manager at our Needham Heights location to lead the service team when the Service Manager is not on site. You will ensure a high-quality customer experience, safety compliance, and adherence to VIP programs and standards, working in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills, and involves coordinating training, safety, and daily operations to deliver superior service and results.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• ASE P2 – Parts Certification recommended.
• ASE G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended.
• State Inspection License required (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in the absence of the Service Manager.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and training completed.
• Educate customers on vehicle conditions using MPI inspection results.
• Support and execute managerial activities to improve customer experience.
• Communicate with the team and manage daily huddles and meetings.
• Oversee facility and equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
• Enforce service ethics and compliance with regulations.
