Bert Ogden Motors Inc. in Texas seeks an experienced Service Manager to lead the service department, coordinating advisors and technicians to maximize capacity, profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will develop training programs, assign repairs efficiently, monitor repairs, and uphold high CSI standards. Applicants should have automotive service management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to improve service metrics in a busy dealership

Qualifications

• Service managers typically have previous experience in automotive service roles and management.
• Strong customer service skills to resolve issues and retain customers.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle daily cases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the service department and manage capacity, sales, expenses, and CSI.
• Recruit, hire, and develop service technicians; implement training plans.
• Assign repairs efficiently and provide technical support while monitoring progress of repairs.
• Maintain high-quality repairs, minimize comebacks, and ensure proper documentation.
• Establish customer follow-up programs and address complaints within 24 hours.
• Ensure staff meet performance goals and have improvement plans as needed.
• Maintain >90% X-time utilization and department profitability targets.
• Ensure annual CSI targets and absorption metrics; monitor receivables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
