Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair status and estimated completion times.
• Monitor shop capacity and adjust work assignments as needed.
• Ensure repair orders are dispatched accurately and efficiently.
• Track technician hours, efficiency, and productivity.
• Maintain communication between technicians, advisors, and management.
• Review repair orders for completeness before dispatching.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, experience, certifications, and current workload
• Monitor technician productivity and maintain a balanced workflow
• Prioritize customer waiters, appointments, warranty repairs, and emergency repairs
• Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair status and estimated completion times
• Monitor shop capacity and adjust work assignments as needed
• Ensure repair orders are dispatched accurately and efficiently
• Track technician hours, efficiency, productivity
• Work with the parts department to minimize delays caused by unavailable parts
• Maintain communication between technicians, advisors, and management
• Review repair orders for completeness before dispatching
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous automotive dealership service experience preferred
• Experience as a Service Dispatcher, Shop Foreman, Service Advisor, or Technician is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of automotive repair processes
• Knowledge of warranty and customer pay repair procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with dealer management systems
