Job summary

Gills Point S Tire is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in Michigan. You will blend automotive knowledge with strong communication to deliver honest recommendations and build lasting customer relationships.

As the primary link between customers and the service team, you will greet customers, prepare estimates, coordinate repairs, and ensure a smooth, trusted experience from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience in automotive or tire service preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive maintenance, tire services, preventive maintenance, and light mechanical repairs.
• Technical or vocational automotive training is a plus.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to build customer trust and confidently recommend products and services.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience using POS and shop management software preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to pursue TIA Certification with company support.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming service experience.
• Listen to concerns and perform vehicle walk-arounds to identify needs.
• Provide honest recommendations prioritizing safety and reliability.
• Prepare accurate estimates and explain tire, maintenance, and repair services.
• Recommend additional services when valuable to the customer.
• Educate customers on tire care and preventative maintenance.
• Follow up during repair to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate service orders and communicate with technicians.
