Nielsen Ford of Morristown is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor in Morristown, New Jersey. You will serve as the liaison between customers and service technicians, handling inquiries, scheduling, and documentation with clarity and professionalism.

Ideal candidates will have dealership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment. This is a full-time, on-site role with weekly pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Two years automotive dealership experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, listening, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to explain maintenance and repair services clearly to customers.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Strong organization and attention to detail when handling estimates and repair orders.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and deadlines in a busy service department.
• Comfort learning and using dealership management and scheduling systems.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Welcome service customers promptly and professionally, in person, by phone, or online.
• Schedule and confirm service appointments.
• Document work on repair orders with accurate vehicle and customer details.
• Explain maintenance and repair recommendations in customer-friendly language.
• Prepare and communicate estimates for parts, labor, and times.
• Obtain customer authorization before work begins or when additional work is needed.
• Coordinate with technicians, Shop Foreman, Parts, and Service Manager to move repair orders.
• Monitor progress and update customers on findings or costs.
• Explain warranty coverage and escalate questions as needed.
• Close completed repair orders accurately and promptly.
• Explain work performed and charges at pickup and answer questions.
• Follow up with customers to resolve concerns with management.
