Job summary

Briggs Auto Group in Manhattan, KS is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to be the face of our service department and connect customers with skilled technicians. You will guide vehicle owners through maintenance and repairs, ensuring clear explanations and a seamless service experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, documenting concerns, preparing repair estimates, coordinating with technicians, and advising on preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with customers to translate complex technical info.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems; ASE certification is a plus.
• Experience with dealership management systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, VAST).
• Requires a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Customer Liaison: Greet customers, listen to vehicle concerns, and document service requests accurately.
• Service Estimates: Prepare detailed repair estimates, explaining the necessity of services and maintenance based on manufacturer requirements.
• Workflow Management: Coordinate with technicians to monitor repair progress and provide timely updates to customers.
• Sales & Retention: Advise customers on preventive maintenance and additional needed repairs to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Administrative Excellence: Manage repair orders (ROs), process payments, and verify warranty or service contract coverage.
