Job summary

Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram in Town of Hempstead, NY is seeking an experienced Express Lane Service Advisor/Service Writer to join its fast-paced, high-volume service department.

Base pay includes uncapped bonus potential with a total compensation range of $70,000 to $110,000 annually, plus professional training and career development within a respected dealer group. This role emphasizes customer service, efficient RO creation, and upselling maintenance services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience.
• Express lane or quick service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage express service appointments
• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Write repair orders (ROs) accurately and efficiently
• Assist customers with maintenance recommendations including oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, and factory scheduled maintenance
• Recommend and upsell additional maintenance and repair services
• Communicate repair timelines, approvals, and service updates
• Coordinate workflow between technicians, dispatchers, and customers
• Ensure repair orders are properly completed and closed
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention scores
• Support daily operations in a fast-paced express service environment
