Job summary

The Sharpe Collection in Grand Rapids is seeking an Entry-Level Automotive Service Advisor to join SHARPE BMW/MINI. You’ll learn the service business by supporting experienced advisors and handling customer interactions.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, commission bonuses, and training to help you grow with premium brands.

Qualifications

• No prior automotive experience required; training provided.
• Outstanding customer service skills from retail or hospitality.
• Confident and professional communication with strong multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and provide an outstanding service experience.
• Keep the service lane inviting and efficiently managed.
• Listen to customer concerns, gather vehicle information, and assist with questions.
• Confirm service appointments and schedule vehicles for service.
• Shadow experienced advisors to learn repair order writing.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Explain recommended and completed services clearly.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist team in managing multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do (Supporting Our Service Team)

• Assist current Service Advisors in greeting clients and providing an exceptional service experience.
• Work actively to keep the service lane inviting, efficiently and effectively managed.
• Support the team by listening to initial customer concerns, gathering vehicle information, and assisting with technical questions.
• Confirm service appointments, help schedule vehicles for service, and manage the daily appointment flow.
• Shadow experienced advisors to learn how to write and manage repair orders.
• Assist the team in keeping customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Observe and learn how to effectively explain recommended and completed services.
• Help follow up with customers to ensure their needs are met and satisfaction is high.
• Work alongside the service team to manage multiple customers and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
