Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in Enfield, CT is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor to be the primary liaison between customers and in-shop technicians for repairs and maintenance.

As an Advisor 1, you’ll greet customers, review estimates, schedule work, monitor progress, coordinate warranty or rental arrangements, and ensure timely communication. A high school diploma and knowledge of automotive tech are required; ASE is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive industry preferred or 3 years in a fast-paced environment with a proven Sales and Customer Satisfaction record.
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Service Advisor Certification is a plus, but not required!
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to complete required Pre-Employment Screenings (background check and drug screening).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer telephone calls and schedule appointments in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the services performed.
• Notify customers when there is a deviation from the original estimate of cost or time.
• Distribute work to shop technicians and monitor progress and accuracy of each job.
• Arrange for repairs and payment for vehicles covered by extended warranty programs.
• Coordinate towing or alternate transportation when necessary.

As an Advisor 1, Car Care Customer Service & Sales, we can offer you:The starting base compensation for this position is $23.65 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.In addition to your hourly compensation, Service Advisors are also eligible for additional income through our uncapped monthly performance bonus as well as various spiffs and contests that run throughout the year!What our Advisor 1, Car Care Customer Service and Sales associates do:Greet customers, answer telephone calls and schedule appointments in a prompt and courteous manner.Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the services performed. Contact customer any time there is a deviation from the original estimate of cost or time when the vehicle will be ready for pickup. Note the name and time of approval for all repair/service orders and any additional costs.Distribute work to all shop technicians while monitoring progress and accuracy of each job. Supply information on request to technicians, as needed. Arrange for repairs and payment for vehicles that are covered by extended warranty programs.Arrange towing and/or alternate transportation such as shuttle or rental vehicle when necessary in accordance with Total Repair Care (TRC) standards.Monitor inspection dates of vehicles in system to ensure the inspections are completed before due dates.
