Job summary

Durango Motor Company is seeking a driven Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team in Durango, Colorado. You will greet guests, collect vehicle details, and document symptoms to help technicians diagnose and estimate repairs.

We offer strong earning potential, with a salary range of $55,000 to $100,000+ per year, plus benefits and growth opportunities. Tekion experience is preferred but not required; we value clear communication and a guest-first approach.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service writing/advisor experience preferred.
• Tekion experience preferred, but not required.
• Positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Guest-service focused with a commitment to CSI and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally.
• Obtain accurate guest and vehicle information.
• Listen to guest concerns and document vehicle symptoms.
• Determine and recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle age, mileage, service history, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Prepare complete and accurate estimates for labor and parts.
• Establish follow-up times with guests.
• Monitor progress of each vehicle and provide updates.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately.
• Verify final invoice reflects work performed.
• Review completed work and explain repairs and charges clearly.
• Build lasting relationships with guests through honesty, transparency, and care.

Requirements

• Previous automotive service writing/advisor experience preferred
• Tekion experience preferred, but not required
• Positive, professional attitude
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Guest-service focused with a commitment to CSI and guest satisfaction
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple repair orders
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking individual responsibility and accountability
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Willingness to submit to a pre‑employment background check
• Frequently sitting, standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
• Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds.
