Job summary

Vaden Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team. Candidate should be knowledgeable and customer-focused, effectively communicating repair recommendations, and managing a busy service department.

As a valued team member, you will provide a welcoming service experience, document customer concerns, and review maintenance services. This role offers competitive pay with commissions and bonuses, along with health benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of automotive maintenance and repair required.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a professional, welcoming service experience.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle needs.
• Schedule appointments and manage repair orders.
• Review recommended maintenance and repairs with customers.
• Explain technical information in a way customers can easily understand.
• Communicate repair updates and timelines throughout the service process.
• Work closely with technicians to monitor vehicle repairs.
• Recommend appropriate maintenance and dealership services.
• Review completed work with customers before vehicle delivery.
• Follow up with customers and build relationships that encourage repeat business.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the entire service experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience strongly preferred
• Dealership or independent automotive repair experience welcome
• CDK and Xtime experience is a strong plus
• Solid understanding of automotive maintenance and repair
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organization and time-management abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic
• Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and MVR
