Job summary

Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM, a family-owned dealership in High Point, NC, is seeking a motivated Automotive Sales Associate to join the sales team. This full-time, individual contributor role offers commission-based compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, matching them with suitable vehicles from current inventory, and guiding them through the sales process to completion. Ongoing training and product knowledge enhancement are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of automotive technology and features.
• Proficiency in computer skills for managing customer information and completing sales transactions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or automotive technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers as they arrive on the lot to initiate the sales process.
• Help customers find a vehicle that fits their needs using up to date inventory information.
• Improve the sales experience by showcasing the vehicle's features on the lot.
• Aid customers in completing their sales applications.
• Support management in boosting sales by conducting daily inspections of the lot's vehicles and reporting any issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, features, and accessories.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
• Attend training sessions and workshops provided by the dealership or manufacturers to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Stay up-to-date on training requirements.
