Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Inc, part of the VIP Automotive Group of Long Island, seeks an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead the sales team and drive strong results in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.

The role requires weekend availability, a full-time schedule, and a focus on coaching a high-performing team to meet and exceed sales goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Sales Manager experience within an automotive dealership.
• Proven track record of strong closing skills.
• Extensive knowledge of CDK, VinSolutions, and AutoAlert.
• Ability to train and motivate a high-performing sales team.
• Excellent understanding and execution of dealership sales processes.
• Experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume sales department.
• 3+ years in a dealership management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and support the Sales Team to achieve sales goals.
• Supervise and manage the sales team’s daily activities, including prospecting and networking to acquire new customers.
• Utilize strong desking skills to assist in deal structuring and closing.
• Ensure all deals comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Train, motivate, and coach the sales team for peak performance.
• Manage and maintain the customer database to support sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with General Management for deal turnovers and effective operations.
• Promote the success of the company, dealership, and sales staff.

Full-Time Opportunity: 5/6 Day Work Week

Weekend Availability Required

Salary:

$100,000 - $125,000 plus (inclusive of commission and bonuses)
