Job summary

MEI Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead and develop our sales team for Buy Here Pay Here operations. This hands-on leadership role drives sales performance, coaches Representatives, and maintains high customer satisfaction while meeting sales goals.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in high-volume automotive sales, with knowledge of dealership operations and customer financing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Automotive Sales Management experience.
• Experience with Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealerships is highly preferred.
• Proven success leading high-performing automotive sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the dealership sales team to consistently achieve monthly sales goals.
• Coach Sales Representatives to maximize individual and team performance.
• Conduct daily sales meetings, monitor performance metrics, and provide ongoing coaching and accountability.
• Assist Sales Representatives throughout the sales process, including negotiations and closing deals when needed.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure an exceptional buying experience.

Schedule: 5-Day Work Week (Includes Saturdays)

Compensation

$80,000 to $110,000+ annually (including base salary and performance bonuses)

Position Overview

MEI Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager with a proven background in Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealerships to lead and develop our sales team. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for driving sales performance, coaching and mentoring Sales Representatives, maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction, and ensuring the dealership consistently meets and exceeds sales goals.The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, understands the unique challenges of BHPH sales, and has a track record of building high‑performing teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead, motivate, and develop the dealership sales team to consistently achieve monthly sales goals.
• Coach Sales Representative to maximize individual and team performance.
• Conduct daily sales meetings, monitor performance metrics, and provide ongoing coaching and accountability.
• Assist Sales Representative throughout the sales process, including customer negotiations and closing deals when needed.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring an exceptional buying experience.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure efficient deal processing and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor lead management, CRM activity, customer follow-up, and appointment conversion to maximize sales opportunities.
• Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for leadership review.
• Foster a positive, professional, and high-energy sales culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of Automotive Sales Management experience required.
• Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealership experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing automotive sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of dealership operations, automotive sales processes, and customer financing.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, mentor, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
• Experience using dealership CRM and sales management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze sales performance and implement strategies to improve results.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
