Job Summary:
Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Sales Associate to join our sales team in High Point, North Carolina. As a sales associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting our vehicles to potential buyers. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry with a commission-based compensation.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct customers as they arrive on the lot to initiate the sales process.
  • Help customers find a vehicle that fits their needs using up to date inventory information.
  • Improve the sales experience by showcasing the vehicle's features on the lot.
  • Aid customers in completing their sales applications.
  • Support management in boosting sales by conducting daily inspections of the lot's vehicles and reporting any issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, features, and accessories.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops provided by the dealership or manufacturers to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Stay up-to-date on training requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive technology and features.
  • Proficiency in computer skills for managing customer information and completing sales transactions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or automotive technology is a plus.
