Job summary

Mercedes Benz Vans LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Rework Technician for the Assembly Final Line to prepare assemblies for customized orders, verify production orders, and perform repairs on large vehicle parts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of relevant experience, and ASE certifications A4–A8 or equivalent. You will work on vans, document processes, and participate in team meetings and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
• ASE certifications A4–A8 or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Activates and reassembles defective parts, assemblies, or aggregates
• Assists with preparation of assembly orders for customized sizes, and checks for completeness and accuracy
• Carries out function checks
• Collects and monitors operation characteristics
• Completes and ensures availability of appropriate documentation related to the production process
• Participates in drafting of corrective measures
• Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
• Perform maintenance and repairs on vans. Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembly parts, components and engines
• Performs failure analysis and repairs large parts of vehicle
• Will perform other duties as assigned
