Job summary

Daimler AG in Charleston, SC is seeking a skilled rework technician to assist with assembly preparation for customized orders and to verify production orders for completeness, compatibility, and accuracy. You will perform modifications and repairs to large vehicle components and conduct function checks to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, and assembling parts and engines in vans, maintaining documentation, and participating in team meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
• ASE certifications or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• All rework technician team members are required to maintain the qualifications set out in the reworker program, including the ASE certification

Responsibilities

• Activates and reassembles defective parts, assemblies, or aggregates.
• Checks completeness and accuracy of customized assembly orders.
• Carries out function checks.
• Collects and monitors operation characteristics.
• Completes and ensures availability of appropriate documentation related to the production process.
• Hydraulic system installation, Electrical System installation.
• Participates in drafting of corrective measures.
• Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on vans. Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembly parts, components and engines.
• Performs failure analysis and repairs large parts of vehicle.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.
• Works under broad supervision.
