Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our NAPA retail store in Westminster, SC. This role blends leadership with hands-on sales responsibilities and oversees daily operations to keep the store running smoothly.

Designed as a developmental path toward Store Manager, it may require overtime and keyholder duties like opening/closing the store. You will coach a team, drive sales, and ensure customer satisfaction in a busy market.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive after-market or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop a team.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Customer-focused attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels (in-store, phone, and external dealer/wholesale calls as needed).
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting, facility readiness).
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling input, compliance documentation, performance tracking/reporting, and basic P&L awareness items.
• Monitor store metrics (sales, inventory accuracy/turn, customer satisfaction, cleanliness/organization, labor efficiency, loss prevention).
• Provide leadership oversight, training and performance management for flexible execution of all store functions.
• Support talent development: coaching and mentorship for advancement.
• Drive adherence to safety, asset protection, operational processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
