Job summary

Napa Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to blend automotive knowledge with strong customer service and operations leadership. You will support the Store Manager in daily store functions, mentor staff, and maintain high standards in sales, inventory, and service.

The role emphasizes coaching, process discipline, and hands-on involvement in counter sales, deliveries, and merchandising. Overtime and keyholder duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or trade school courses or degree completion helpful.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or related field preferred.
• Leadership experience required.
• Customer care and relationship-building mindset essential.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor planning, and team performance.
• Sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors and customer standards.
• Oversee opening and closing routines and cash reconciliation.
• Support administrative tasks and KPI reporting.
• Monitor store metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and development for team members.
• Ensure safety and asset protection compliance.
