Lithia Nissan of Ames is seeking a receptionist to greet customers, answer calls, and coordinate messages at our Ames, IA location. The role supports sales and general management and involves front-desk duties with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service/reception experience in a front-desk or related role.

• Professional phone etiquette and comfort handling high-volume calls.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and visitors warmly.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and transfer as needed.
• Respond to voicemails and leads promptly.
• Take accurate messages and relay to the appropriate team member.
• Keep reception area organized and welcoming.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle arrivals and departures.
• Assist with scanning and other administrative tasks.
• Support team with additional duties as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and visitors in a warm manner
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly, transferring calls efficiently
• Respond to voicemails and job leads in a timely manner
• Take clear, accurate messages and relay them to the appropriate team member
• Keep the reception area organized and welcoming
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles arriving and departing the facility
• Scanning and other supportive administrative tasks
• Support the team with other duties as needed

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, automotive, or a related customer-facing role
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to creating positive customer experiences
• Professional telephone skills and confidence handling a high volume of inbound calls
