Job summary

Nissan North America in Smyrna, TN is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Inspector to support Field Quality Center. You will help manage returned parts, inspect components, and validate warranty claims, contributing to accurate decision-making and warranty cost recovery.

This role blends warehouse logistics with technical inspection and analytical problem-solving, requiring collaboration with engineering teams, suppliers, and Nissan dealers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate or technical degree is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, automotive service, or warranty operations.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Experience working with data systems and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse and logistics: Load/unload trucks, handle parts, coordinate shipments, and organize for chargeback appeals.
• Warranty inspection and claim processing: Inspect returned parts, document warranty chargebacks, review claims in systems like Salesforce, NCIS, and EPC.
• Technical analysis and engineering support: Provide data for engineering, bench-test parts, support root-cause analysis.
• Dealer and system support: Respond to dealer warranty inquiries, verify part applicability, and assist with chargeback inquiries.
• Safety and continuous improvement: Support MILS updates, handle hazardous materials, and suggest process improvements.
