Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift in Mount Clemens, MI. This contract-to-hire role involves inspecting automotive parts, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring tools to ensure conformity with standards.

You will work in a multi-building stamping environment, with training on 1st shift and overtime opportunities as needed. Prior experience in metal stamping and QA is preferred, along with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of quality inspection experience, preferably automotive or metal manufacturing.
• Experience with stamping environments and precision measurement.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with gauges, micrometers, calipers.
• Willing to work 2nd shift and overtime, including weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Establish quality standards in a high-volume stamping environment.
• Read blueprints and specifications to verify part conformance.
• Inspect and test finished products with precision tools.
• Document defects and adjustments clearly.
• Remove nonconforming parts and segregate them.
• Discuss findings with production to resolve issues.
• Perform quality checks throughout production.
