Focus in Auburn, AL is seeking a Quality Engineer to work directly with the Quality Manager to support the advancement of our quality programs. The role develops and maintains production procedures and processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

The candidate will interface with supplier and customer quality representatives, conduct audits, support TS16949/ISO 14001, APQP/PPAP activities, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of automotive industry quality experience.
• Experience with CMM, tensile tester and calipers.
• Experience with TS16949/ISO 14001 preferred.
• Knowledge of General OSHA Standards.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to facilitate a team and work independently.
• Background check and drug screening may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain production procedures and processes for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives for QA issues and corrective actions, including audits.
• Establish safety processes, requirements, and culture.
• Promote and execute quality standards, inspection methods, test methodology, quality plans and reports.
• Act as primary quality resource for problem identification, resolution, losses and continuous improvement.
• Support TS16949 certification process and maintain Quality System.
• Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures; report quality trends to management.
• Manage supplier performance and conduct audits.
• Support APQP activities including PFMEA, control plans, MSA, and PPAP submissions.
• Supervise and train quality/production staff on Quality and Safety requirements and take action to ensure product quality.
• Proxy for Quality Manager as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
