Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Cullman, Alabama, is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead APQP initiatives, establish and sustain control plans, and collaborate with design and production teams to mitigate quality risks. You will oversee local quality performance, audits, and continuous improvement efforts, driving PPAP documentation and customer requirements.

Qualifications

3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing, automotive preferred.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and IATF 16949 requirements.
Experience with audits and structured problem solving (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and quality reporting systems.

Responsibilities

Lead APQP activities to ensure timely quality milestones within the gate process.
Develop and maintain Safe Launch Plans, Control Plans, and gage WI / R&R ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
Collaborate with design and production teams to identify and mitigate quality risks during product development.
Monitor local quality performance metrics and drive corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain records and present quality performance reports to management and stakeholders.
Apply Six Sigma and SPC tools for continuous improvement.
