Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality processes and supplier development across our automotive components. You will lead cross-functional teams, review designs and process documentation, and support ISO audits while maintaining essential quality records and metrics.

Join a team reporting to the Quality Manager, with opportunities for growth in a family of automotive companies. This position is based on-site in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality engineering or supplier development.
• Automotive experience highly preferred.
• A.S.Q.C. certified quality engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and conducts meetings with customers, suppliers, and in-plant personnel.
• Provide input into development of departmental strategic goals with measurable targets.
• Serve as main contact for external customer concerns and manage complaints.
• Work with customers to obtain APQP documents including Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Support audits of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 (A2LA).
• Perform research and design for quality processes and controls.
• Evaluate designs, drawings, project plans, specifications and other documents.
• Initiate and facilitate cross-functional teams for problem solving and mistake proofing.
• Drive implementation of a progressive quality system and policies.
• Develop and maintain performance metric data and charts.
