Job summary

LER TechForce is seeking a Project Lead - Automotive Specialist in Livonia, MI to oversee all in-house axle prototype builds and testing. You will manage build events, coordinate parts timing, and work directly with shop personnel to ensure on-schedule completion.

You will also maintain axle testing forecasts, coordinate test part delivery to the dyno area, and track post-test teardown progress for engineering sign-off. Onsite role in a dynamic automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Performance testing experience is required.
• Project management experience is required.
• Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with mechanical components, testing of parts and build processes.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Fully onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Lead all in-house prototype builds for Axle systems.
• Develop project plans for upcoming build events (quantities, complexity, timing).
• Order parts through GPIRS per the plan.
• Coordinate timing of builds with Design and Release engineers and supply base.
• Manage issue resolution and track items to completion.
• Maintain in-house axle testing forecasts (short and long term).
• Coordinate testing priorities and test completion processes.
• Collaborate with the in-house test team to ensure timely tests.
