Job summary

WorkGenius Group is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Product Security in Foster City, CA. This role leads security initiatives across connected vehicle systems, including in-vehicle networks, telematics, embedded systems, and cloud services, with a focus on risk management and compliance.

The position requires 6+ years in engineering or program management, strong cybersecurity expertise, and experience with automotive protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, or V2X.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field plus 6+ years in engineering, technical program management, program management, or management consulting.
• Proven success managing complex, long-running, cross-functional technical programs across software, hardware, automotive, or similarly technical product environments.
• Strong cybersecurity expertise, including network security, cryptography, secure software development, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and security lifecycle programs.
• Experience with connected vehicle architecture, telematics, embedded systems, cloud platforms, and automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, or V2X; 5+ years automotive cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and technical communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and engineering teams and drive results without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead product security initiatives across connected vehicle systems, including in-vehicle networks, telematics, embedded systems, and cloud services.
• Manage cybersecurity risk assessment, risk management, incident response, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability mitigation programs.
• Translate strategic objectives into program roadmaps, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
• Partner with engineering, product, security, policy, and legal teams to integrate cybersecurity requirements into product development and support ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 compliance.
• Lead cross-functional governance, reporting, decision-making, and process improvement while communicating program status, risks, and priorities to senior stakeholders.
